Q: Hi! Over the last year or so I've gained around 30 pounds. I really want to lose the weight but I can't make myself eat healthy or exercise. I always say I'm going to but when I'm hungry I'll just eat whatever I want. I don't know how to break that habit. I'm around 155 now, I want to be 115-120. If I start eating healthier and working out how long will it take me to lose that weight? I love your blog.

A:

you have to be realistic, you put that weight on slowly… if you want to lose this weight in a way you can go long term and maintain it forever you need to do this the healthy way. u can eat a lot but it has to be clean healthy food… i would say the first thing you need to do is write everything down you want to accomplish, then chuck all your junkfood away and go grocery shopping with all healthy items. start walking everyday even if its for 40minutes do it that is the only thing that is going to make you drop the weight faster than you gained it..i would say if you started today in 6 months you will lose it but everyone is different to get motivated take a before photo, count calories, start thinking of clothes u want to wear etc there’s no reason y u can’t do this
